Job Description:

At Regions, the Consumer Market Visit Coach drives consistent execution of the Consumer Bank's Sales, Service and Coaching process by observing the process in action then coaching the coaches through consultative guidance. The goal of this position is to achieve company wide sales effectiveness by collaborating with market leadership and providing guidance for proper sales practices. Creates and revises tools, communications, workshops and training to support and reinforce the process execution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Observes and identifies development needs (i.e., coaching, sales process and leadership) for branch associates and area managers in a market and/or region

  • Assesses and targets learning and development needs based on observations conducted during an onsite visit process

  • Provides feedback to leaders

  • Creates market level plans for individual effectiveness and defines specific actions to improve effectiveness

  • Aids associates in the development of their performance goals through onsite and ongoing coaching sessions

  • Identifies steps for an improvement action/coaching plan to enhance performance

  • Develops customized tools, workshops and job aids for specific market needs (may include workshop and training facilitation)

  • Acts a subject matter expert for the Consumer Bank's sales, service and coaching process

  • Provides guidance to other business segments for sales process approach for their product/effort/program/initiative

  • Analyzes and identifies possible sales, service and coaching impacts for upcoming policy, product, or procedure changes

  • Identifies and works with Corporate Training for updates to materials, job aids, and process overview and other materials to ensure consistency with the process

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.


  • Bachelors degree in a related field

  • Seven years sales and/or sales management experience

  • 60-70% travel
