Job Description:

At Regions the Mortgage Specialist performs a variety of clerical duties to support the Mortgage department.

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime under the non-exempt FLSA classification for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for review, research, analysis, calculation, and validation to ensure compliance with bankruptcy processes and procedures.

  • Perform analysis to identify bankruptcy exceptions and ensure corrective action.

  • Use relevant information and independent judgment to perform audits of bankruptcy report data.

Requirement s

Accounting or Finance Degree Preferred

Mortgage experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience using Logical, Data, and Text functions to include Analytical Add-Ins, Macro and VBA editing, Pivot Tables and Charts, Formulas and Conditional Formatting

Experience with Microsoft Word and Access

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to analyze, and interpret documents/reports

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems

  • Ability to manage a pipeline of work from assignment to completion

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer system windows, applications, and utilize search tools to find information

  • Ability to incorporate technology to streamline work functions

  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal and time management skills

  • Bankruptcy, Default, or Loan Servicing Experience
