At Regions, the Systems Administrator, under direct supervision, maintains integrity of the operating system environment.
Performs system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing and coordination under direct supervision
Performs workstation and server administration setup
Coordinates disk space planning and management as directed
Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries and software and hardware inventories
Performs data backups and recoveries
Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements
Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control
Some scripting (i.e. Powershell and Bash)
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelors degree in a related field or a technical training program entry level
Or High school diploma or GED with four years experience will also qualify
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
