At Regions, the Digital User Interface Designer will be responsible for delivering solutions that are intuitive, esthetically pleasing and persuasive. Leads design projects and provides art direction for other visual designers while evangelizing usability, simplicity, and high-quality design.
Creates highly usable and esthetically pleasing designs for web sites and mobile applications
Provides innovative solutions for lines of business while balancing the needs of customers
Oversees and develop new online brand standards and guidelines
Assists with user research and usability testing efforts
Creates User Interface (UI) Specification documentation
Establishes design patterns and create common interface components to promote consistency
Creates new designs using paper, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelors degree in in Graphic Design, Human Factors or other related discipline
Two (2) years of directly related experience with large customer-facing website(s)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills (including experience with online writing for end-users)
Knowledgeable of user-centered design methodology
Experience with end-user usability testing
Capable of positively representing the team to the rest of the organization

Possesses a keen ability to look holistically at business needs and technical capabilities to devise intuitive design solutions
Drives adoption of new design patterns and incorporates them into existing design standards, guidelines, web policies and best practices
Takes initiative on projects to encourage stakeholders to utilize the best possible designs regardless of technical or legal constraints
Shows experience leading large scale design initiatives with expertise in ecommerce and financial industry
Demonstrates a track record of delivering high-quality, end-to-end designs for significant web-based applications or platforms
Provides in-depth knowledge and understanding of user-centered design principles and tools
