Job Description:

At Regions, Information Technology (IT) Strategy and Transformation Function Manager supports the development and execution of the enterprise IT Strategy. This role will be responsible for leading and/or supporting various types strategic initiatives have potential impact to people, process, and technology. The IT Strategy and Transformation Analyst will collaborate with resources within the department and across the enterprise to drive change within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports the development of the strategic vision and supporting strategic plan for the IT organization

  • Leads transformation of various aspects of the Technology Department through the execution of strategic initiatives to improve the ability to support both short and long term business goals

  • Leads the use of new technologies/methodologies to the departments delivery teams inclusive of Agile, DevOps, Robotics, APIs, and Low Code Platforms

  • Conducts communication, training, and coaching to various stakeholder groups to gain buy in and ensure appropriate utilization of new tools/methodologies

  • Monitors and measures success of implemented programs to ensure sustained improvements are being realized

  • Builds and leads communities of technology associates

  • Collaborates on new concepts with technology and business stakeholders

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

The position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Software Development, MIS, Engineering, Finance or related degree

  • Fifteen (15) years experience

Job Summary

The IT Strategy Associate is responsible for supporting the development, delivery and execution of the organization wide automation strategy under the direction of senior members on the IT Strategy and Transformation team. The role requires excellent organization, communication and writing skills along with experience working directly with automation tools such as BPM, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence or Low Code. The IT Strategy Associate is a hands-on role responsible for tactical execution of strategic objectives while also working with stakeholders directly to understand business needs. Additionally, the IT Strategy Associate will be expected to develop prototype tools to “bring business opportunities to life”. As a critical member of the IT Strategy and Transformation the role may also require the selected candidate to engage in organization wide initiatives outside of the automation umbrella.

Essential Functions

  • Support the development of the strategic vision and supporting strategic plan for the IT organization.

  • Lead the use of new technologies/methodologies to the department’s delivery teams inclusive of automation tools such as BPM, Robotics, AI and Low Code tools. Examples of tools currently available in the environment include: OutSystems, Kofax Total Agility, Kofax Kapow, SharePoint Designer and IBM Watson.

  • Develop automation awareness throughout the organization through prototype development and demonstrations.

  • Ensure that all implementations of automated tools meet the requirements prescribed by IT through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables.

  • Support senior staff in the buildout of portfolio management best practices for automation activities including but not limited to the creation of a Center of Excellence for the program.

  • Work directly with business groups and IT stakeholders to prioritize backlogs, deliver solutions through environments and into production.

  • Conduct communication, training, and coaching to various stakeholder groups to gain buy in and ensure appropriate utilization of new tools/methodologies.

  • Maintain a forward-looking focus to identifying and integrating new automation technology solutions.

Skills/Background

Required

  • Experience in Banking, Management Consulting, Technology, or related field preferred.

  • Degree from a top Undergraduate and/or Graduate program preferably in MIS or Computer Science.

  • 3-5 years direct experience working in an IT function in a development, change management, team lead or high performing individual contributor role

  • 1-2 years ‘experience developing and delivering automation solutions for business/support functions.

  • Experience with automation governance best practices.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong desire to advance both technical and business skillset.

  • Passion for relentless improvement

Preferred

  • Experience in UI/UX design.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Experience with Agile tools such as the Atlassian stack.

  • Experience operating within an Dev Ops organization.
