Job Description:

At Regions, the Risk Operational Excellence Analyst will lead in improving or developing new Risk Management processes/solutions that enable continuous improvement within the Bank. This senior role is part of a high performing team that participates in strategic initiatives, research, risk assessments, client relationship management, and evaluation of emerging methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently researches and troubleshoots operational problems/data issues within a business segment or functional area

  • Conducts document findings (e.g. process flows, competitor analysis, SWOT, procedure manuals) for the functions reviewed

  • Contributes to the development of re-engineering methods/tools to improve processes, reduce risks, strengthen controls, and improve the associate experience

  • Develops risk assessment processes to evaluate emerging technologies

  • Researches, identifies, and conducts risk assessments for solutions that can solve products gaps for the various business segments

  • Shares knowledge of processes and systems within the team and with partners/stakeholders

  • Stays current on new technologies and methodologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance the associate/customer experience

  • Incorporates regulatory and internal guidance/policies into due diligence and solution development activities

  • Identify and document process risks and associated impacts

  • Develops methods to reduce risks and strengthen controls

  • Utilizes data to identify anomalies and articulate root causes of underlying issues

  • Leverages software tools to create solutions that provide value, improve automation, and increase data integrity

  • Build positive working relationships with your business partners and evaluate and measure value contributed to clients

  • Demonstrates commitment to providing effective client service by seeking to understand clients' requirements and addressing their concerns

  • Lead projects, manage teams, and spread the innovation culture throughout the organization

  • Assists junior team members with skills development and foster an environment of intellectual curiosity

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Five (5) years of experience

Certifications and Licenses

  • PMP, Six Sigma Certifications preferred
