At Regions, the Retail Operations Manager supports, inspects, and coaches risks, controls, standard branch procedures and consistent operations within the respective area.
Assists branches with complex operational and service issues
Inspects branches to check for compliance with control, risk, and security procedures
Serves as liaison to central support units and business group partners
Responsible for the overall management of branch operations within a geographical area (30-100+ branches) and for managing the Retail Operations Managers (I, II, and III)
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
High school diploma or GED
Five (5) years of experience in managing a team
Seven (7) years of branch operational experience
Knowledgeable of branch processes, policies, and procedures
Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel frequently
Manage the district Retail Operations Manager (ROM) team, including onboarding new ROMs and ensuring required activities are completed
Provide coaching and training for the development of their team
Back up ROMs, when needed, on any and all tasks, including, but not limited to, conducting BRCAs and Surprise Cash Counts, branch closures and consolidations, and safe deposit box escheatments
Promote process and procedural consistency and adherence to corporate standards for risks and controls; make recommendations for process improvements when identified
Work with central complaint unit to ensure timely handling and resolution of complaints
Work with Centralized Monitoring Group to address issues with branches
Meet BRCA Quality Assurance (QA) program requirements annually
Review all completed BRCA reports and related action plans for quality and consistency and certify completion on a monthly basis
Ensure ROM branch visit requirements are met for BRCA and cash counts
Assist in coordination of business continuity and disaster response activities for their district (in partnership with CBE and HR)
Manage the Operations Excellence dispute process for their district
Serve as point of contact for litigation matters, including depositions, testifying in court, etc.
Actively participate in Branch Support projects
