At Regions the Corporate Communications Public Relations & Publishing Manager will manage a multi-disciplined team. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a local Market PR team as well a group responsible for publishing content across several proprietary web properties, social media channels and email systems focusing on internal and external audiences for Regions. The manager is responsible for leading local PR activities along with editorial planning and development that drives audience acquisition and engagement.

Leads local PR activities, planning and prioritization
Manages editorial budget planning and assignments for Regions’ external storytelling website (regions.doingmoretoday.com) and news and information Twitter handle (@RegionsNews)
Manages a team that are highly engaged with interdependent functions within Corporate Communications and throughout the bank
In addition to supporting Corporate Communications programs, day-to-day activities and longer term priorities will be established through regular collaboration with several groups, including: Community Affairs, Government Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility, Media Relations, Marketing, Investor Relations, and Legal
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position .
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a media/publishing, corporate, PR agency or not-for-profit environment
Financial services and/or banking experience in public relations
Publishing experience is highly preferred
Five years management experience in relevant field
Skills and Competencies
Strong writer with proven experience in PR and editorial management, particularly involving multi-media/digital/social media platforms
Comfortable leading a creative team with a diverse set of skills and experiences in a time of rapid change
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires creative thinking and attention to detail
Be comfortable supporting a broad range of traditional (e.g.: media relations, events) and emerging (e.g.: social media, brand journalism) communication strategies
