Job Description:

At Regions, the Investor Relations Analyst is responsible for supporting engagement with institutional and retail shareholders as well as providing analysis and reporting related to peer competitive positioning, financial results, and guidance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in the design and execution of materials supporting interactions with institutional investors (Interactions include: quarterly earnings releases, sell-side conferences, non-deal roadshows, and fixed income roadshows)

  • Assists in the design and execution of materials supporting interactions with all four major credit rating agencies (Interactions include: annual in-person meetings with key management, quarterly earnings preview calls, and periodic conference calls addressing areas of concern in the banking industry)

  • Analyzes sell-side analyst models and maintains the resulting internal consensus reporting

  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports on department interaction within the investment community, including evaluating performance vs goals

  • Maintains the Investor Relations external website (Includes posting of quarterly earnings materials, SEC filings, and other regulatory and governance related materials)

  • Serves as point person to review periodic reporting from the agencies for accuracy and non-public data

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for select peer banks (Expertise includes: in-depth knowledge of business model and quarterly financial performance as well as monitoring company announcements/press releases/conference participation and tracking of forward-looking guidance related to assigned peers)

  • Supports the company wide peer reporting function by analyzing and reporting on peer competitive positioning and financial results (Includes responsibility for obtaining an understanding of the key business drivers for the lines of business, and on an as needed basis, interpret management reporting generated by the lines of business)

  • Assists in monitoring economic, regulatory, and industry activity; and assesses the potential impact to the company

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other directly related field

  • Three (3) years of experience with management reporting or financial analysis, preferably within the financial services industry

Skills and Competencies

  • Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Effective time and project management skills
