At Regions, the Portfolio Management Treasury Analyst assists Portfolio Managers for the bank’s fixed income portfolio which is used to facilitate asset/liability, liquidity, and capital management strategies. Assists with management of Region’s fixed income portfolio, balance sheet hedging activities, and Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) hedging activities. This includes working with financial products and derivatives such as Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS), Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS), other securitized products, United States Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, Interest Rate Swaps, Interest Rate Floors, and Swaptions. Assists with management of other institutional investments such as Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) and Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI).
Produces reports for the Asset/Liability Committee and other committees and working groups
Produces various ad-hoc reports
Runs fixed income portfolio related models and analytical tools for stress testing and capital planning
Assists Treasury Operations with troubleshooting related to security set up and reconciliations
Gains intimate knowledge of Investment Portfolio products, portfolio construction, and portfolio strategy
Gains understanding of broader Treasury activities
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in portfolio management, asset/liability management or capital markets related activities
