Job Description:

At Regions, this position provides decision support and direct marketing campaign execution to support marketing needs for the company

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implements traditional direct marketing campaigns and customer centric communications including marketing incentive fulfillment

  • Uses IBM Campaign (formally known as Unica) and SQL to create targeted marketing campaign files

  • Transfers data to and from internal and external partners for campaign implementation

  • Provides direct marketing campaign decision support and develops comprehensive campaign requirements/specifications

  • Confirms accurate and complete understanding of requirements and seek clarification where needed

  • Designs, builds, audits (quality control), and executes marketing campaigns and incentive fulfillment to specifications within expected timeframes

  • Ensures marketing offers are provided to downstream operational systems

  • Acts as subject matter and data expert

  • Develops standards to streamline campaign development

  • Creates campaign waterfall reports and explains/discusses with key stakeholders

  • Identifies campaign audience members that are eligible for campaign offer fulfillment and ensures customers receive incentives on time

  • Responsible for correctness and quality of campaigns and incentive fulfillment

  • Develop automated campaigns

  • Provide mentoring, guidance and support to team members

  • Take on special projects

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.


  • Bachelors degree

  • Six years of marketing experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of database marketing techniques and complex relational database systems

  • Knowledge of financial services industry, products, services, and data

  • Strong knowledge of IBM Campaign workflow processes

  • Advanced with SQL

  • Ability to handle multiple projects

  • Good communication skills; ability to speak efficiently with both business and technical stakeholders


  • Marketing or Technical degree

  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide

  • Experience with IBM Interact

Additional Responsibilities

  • Implement and support existing, new or changing inbound, real-time marketing interaction strategies and rules which leverage marketing database systems and processes

  • Monitor and track system and marketing interaction performance using established key metrics and performance indicators. Review ongoing outcomes of business logic/strategy and next best action presentment and disposition volumes and metrics.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and resolve incomplete tasks

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

  • Working knowledge of outbound, inbound, and digital marketing tools, technologies, and strategies

  • Ability to influence others

This position will work daily with IBM Interact and work with real-time decisioning inbound marketing campaigns
