Job Description:

At Regions, our Financial Manager leads a team that manages the day-to-day financial activities of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Controls financial resources and ensures that all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards

  • Responsible for financial analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance, credit control, accounts payable/receivable, inventory and costs control, and budgeting and forecasting

  • Oversees the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.


  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field

  • Eight years finance experience managing large groups/functions

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access

  • Excellent communication skill


  • Management experience

Within the Business and Profitability Finance Analytics team, a Business and Profitability Analytics Manager serves as a team lead dedicated to delivering analytics and finance insights to the Business that ensures its strategy & financial plan enhance shareholder value. They work with Business Leaders and Finance Mangers to continuously improve Finance’s ability to positively influence business strategy/decisions through the development and execution of analytical frameworks and financial processes/analysis. This opportunity requires a practical & adaptable leader with excellent financial analysis, communication, and presentation skills as well as the leadership skills necessary to manage a team of 3-4 analysts. Successful candidates will possess the ability to navigate between the big picture and the details, as well as the curiosity and determination required to consistently improve Finance’s ability to deliver value for its internal customers.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of financial analysts dedicated to serving as an analytical center of excellence in support of Regions Corporate Banking and Wealth Businesses .

  • Coach / enable financial analysts to develop their business acumen, corporate influence, situational awareness, and ability to transform information into insight in support of increasing Regions shareholder value.

  • Partner with Businesses & Finance Managers to balance the efforts and capacity of the team with the changing priorities and deadlines of business partners to provide relevant, thoughtful, and timely analysis.

  • Continuously challenge and enhance existing analytical frameworks and financial processes with the goal of improving effectiveness and efficiency to maximize Finance’s impact on business execution and strategy.

  • Review and prepare analysis / presentations for internal customers, coordinate the efforts of analysts to maximize their potential, and liaison with internal customers to develop trust and influence by consistently understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.

Additional Preferences

  • Experience in finance, analytics, or strategy

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Finance

  • Experience within a financial services sector

  • Excellent financial analysis skills
